CBI reached Gorakhpur to find the connection to the attack on the SP deputy: an attempt was made to run over and kill the officer who was handling Lalu Yadav’s case.

In Gorakhpur, a CBI team reached Gorakhpur on Saturday. This team has come to find out the connection behind the deadly attack on CBI SP Deputy Rupesh Kumar Srivastava. It is led by Sandeep Pandey, Deputy SP, CBI, Lucknow.

The team traveled to Bargahi in Gulriha region in the evening to take stock of the scene for about an hour. After that, the team reached Gulriha Police Station. Here, the Bhahat outpost manager, Jyoti Narayan Tiwari, was interrogated at length. The team also took a copy of the FIR from the police station.

CBI camped at Gorakhpur
CBI Officer Rupesh Srivastava examines the high profile cases of railroad fodder and recruitment scam of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav, Congress leader P. Chidambaram and several central government ministers and states. He had also arrested P. Chidambaram. In such a situation, there is a possibility of a grand conspiracy behind the deadly attack on him.

That is why, at present, the CBI team has camped in Gorakhpur itself. However, the CBI has not yet taken up the case. Gorakhpur Police are investigating the case. Taking this matter seriously, CBI is investigating at its level. So that the connection search associated with this attack can be found. The police are currently treating this as a simple accident.

High-profile planning believed to be behind attack
As soon as Rupesh Srivastava informed his officers of the case, CBI headquarters sprang into action. CBI officers immediately spoke to police officers in Gorakhpur and ordered the matter to be seriously investigated.

CBI sources believe a high profile person may be behind the incident. Don’t Rupesh Srivastava is handling the case and the CBI sword hangs above them. The CBI thinks the police can’t go that far in the case, even if they want to. In such a situation, the CBI opened the investigation at its level.

While returning to Gorakhpur, an attempt was made to run him over with a truck.
Rupesh Srivastava hails from Pipralala of Shyamdeurwan Police Station in Maharajganj District. He is currently assigned as Deputy SP at CBI, New Delhi Branch. On Thursday, he had returned home after a day off from Delhi on Raksha Bandhan. As he was returning from Maharajganj to Gorakhpur in the evening, an attempt was made to kill him by running him over with a truck.

The truck overturned and the driver died
His car was hit hard by a speeding truck near Bargadhi in Gulriha region. Because of this, part of his car was completely broken. By the time the CBI agent and his driver could figure something out, the truck attempted to hit his car for the second time. However, the wheel of the truck fell on the ballast lying on the road, due to which the truck overturned. The truck driver died instantly in the accident.

The truck driver was a resident of Kushinagar
Upon information, other police officers including SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover attended the scene. The police began to investigate the matter by registering a file on the complaint of the CBI officer. At the same time, the truck driver was identified as Ratan Kumar (28), a resident of Sukrauli in Kushinagar district. The police took possession of the driver’s body and sent it for autopsy.
